Pfaadt (6-6) earned the win in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Guardians, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.
Pfaadt held Cleveland without a hit through his first four innings before Josh Naylor led off the fifth with a solo home run. The Guardians would add three more hits in the frame, but Pfaadt was able to limit the damage to just one additional run. The 25-year-old right-hander has been sharp of late, pitching to a 2.66 ERA in his last seven starts. Overall, Pfaadt sports a 3.92 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 124:29 K:BB across 137.2 innings this season. He's currently slated to face the Rockies at home early next week in his next outing.
