Pederson is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets.
With the Mets bringing a lefty (Joey Lucchesi) to the hill for the second straight day, the left-handed Pederson will once again head to the bench. Jake Marisnick will replace Pederson in the Chicago outfield.
