The Cardinals activated Strzelecki (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday and designated him for assignment.
Strzelecki is recovered from the right forearm extensor inflammation that sent him to the IL in late August, having recently made three rehab appearances. The righty reliever has logged a 5.79 ERA and 8:6 K:BB over 14 frames in the majors this season.
