The Cardinals optioned McGreevy to Triple-A Memphis on Thursday.
McGreevy was impressive during his MLB debut Wednesday, throwing seven innings of one-run ball while coming away with the win. However, he will be sent back to Triple-A to clear a rotation spot for Erick Fedde, who was acquired in a trade with the White Sox on Monday.
