Hudson (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Palm Beach on Saturday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.
Hudson is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, a procedure he underwent in late September of last year. He's expected to throw 30 pitchers Saturday, so he still has a way to go before he's ready to return to the active roster, but it looks like he has a chance to do so in some capacity, which would be something of a surprise given that most pitchers take over a year to return from the procedure.
