Pallante allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and four walks while striking out four batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Kansas City on Saturday.

Pallante was clinging to a one-run lead entering the sixth inning and retired the first two batters in that frame before issuing a walk and surrendering a single. He was subsequently relieved by Ryan Fernandez, who promptly served up a Freddy Fermin single that tied the game and eliminated Pallante from contention for a victory. Despite issuing a season-high four walks, Pallante bounced back pretty well from the five-run, 4.2-frame clunker he put up in his previous start, and he'll likely remain in the rotation until Lance Lynn (knee) is ready to return -- though that might not be very far off.
