Zimmermann agreed to a contract Sunday with the Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports.
Zimmermann will head overseas after electing free agency Wednesday when the Cardinals outrighted him off their 40-man roster. The southpaw made one appearance for the Cardinals after spending most of the 2026 season at the Triple-A level, where he posted a 3.78 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 84 strikeouts over 78.2 innings in 15 starts.
