Bickford (suspension) underwent surgery for two fractures in his hand and will be sidelined for 8-to-12 weeks, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Bickford, who is serving a 50-game suspension for testing positive for a drug of abuse twice, suffered the injury in extended spring training when he was hit by a comebacker. He is expected to serve out the rest of his suspension and then head to the disabled list, making him eligible to play once he is healthy.
