Peterson's contract was selected by the Brewers on Saturday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Peterson served as a non-roster invitee this spring but aggravated a thumb injury late in camp. While he spent the start of the regular season recovering, he'll join the major-league roster after Kolten Wong (oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday. Peterson slashed .200/.393/.356 with two home runs and five RBI in 30 games with the Brewers in 2020.
