Montas did not factor into the decision in a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, allowing three unearned runs on five hits and three walks over five innings while striking out six.
Montas struggled early, allowing the first four batters to reach in the opening frame, though the leadoff man would only reach due to a fielding error by Joey Ortiz. The right-hander saw three unearned runs come across during the inning, but he held the Dodgers scoreless over the next four frames. In three starts since joining the Brewers, Montas has a 1-0 record with a 3.86 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 18:7 K:BB across 14 innings.
