Suter (shoulder) is on track to be activated from the DL when rosters expand Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
He is heading out on a rehab assignment Tuesday to and undisclosed affiliate after not having pitched in a game since Aug. 12 due to an ailing shoulder. Brandon Woodruff is expected to occupy the fifth spot in the rotation at the start of the month, so Suter will likely work out in the bullpen. However, if the Brewers need a sixth starter at any point over the rest of the season, Suter would be the favorite to step in. He posted a 3.79 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in 59.1 innings with the big club prior to the injury.
