Strider (elbow) is not expected to return to Atlanta's active roster before the end of this season, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Strider has been shelved since mid-June with right elbow inflammation. He resumed a throwing progression earlier this month, and while the team has not yet officially ruled out a return this season for the right-hander, Bowman says "the assumption since June" is that Strider will not make it back.
