Lopez (knee) pitched four scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out four batters in a minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Lopez was making his first rehab start since being placed on the 15-day injured list with left knee inflammation Aug. 2. The 32-year-old was impressive in his return to the mound, tossing 35 of his 50 total pitches for strikes. Lopez will likely require at least one more start with Gwinnett before Atlanta would consider activating him from the IL.
