Atlanta optioned Dodd to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Dodd gave up a couple runs in a two-inning relief appearance Wednesday versus Milwaukee. He's being replaced on the roster by Parker Dunshee, who was called up from Triple-A to give Atlanta a fresh bullpen arm.
