Morton (0-1) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out nine in six innings to take the loss against the Brewers in Game 1 of the NLDS on Friday.
Morton was incredibly sharp in Friday's outing and held the Brewers scoreless across the first six frames. However, he hit Avisail Garcia with a pitch to begin the bottom of the seventh before giving up a home run to Rowdy Tellez. Although the right-hander was charged with an unlucky loss in Friday's pitching duel, he's a strong candidate to appear later in the series if needed.
