Riley (side) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Riley will miss an 11th consecutive start Friday with a left intercostal strain. Despite the lengthy absence, it seems Riley is close to returning after swinging a bat Tuesday. Zack Short will start at third and bat ninth Friday.
