Mariners starting pitcher Brandon Maurer got hit hard and failed to complete the fourth inning on Sunday against the Rangers. However, he was able to escape his rough outing with a no-decision in a 6-5 home win over Texas.

Maurer permitted five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three in 3 2/4 innings pitched. He tossed 77 pitches, 49 for strikes.

Maurer owns a 6.75 ERA, a 1.50 WHIP over his first eight innings pitched. He'll look to make his next start Friday at Houston.
