Edwards signed a minor-league contract with the Blue Jays on Friday, Sportsnet.ca reports.
Once a hyped prospect in the Cubs organization, Edwards dealt with numerous injuries and fizzled out with Chicago. He has bounced around a lot since; Atlanta was the latest club to cut ties with the right-hander. Edwards was assigned to Triple-A Buffalo, but given the injuries in the Jays' bullpen, it's possible he'll be up in the majors again before long.
