Soderstrom is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
The left-handed-hitting Soderstrom will be held out of the lineup against White Sox southpaw Noah Schultz for the series finale after he went 1-for-6 with a solo home run and walk while starting in the Athletics' first two games in Chicago. Colby Thomas will spell Soderstrom in left field and will bat fifth Sunday.
