Montas will start Thursday's game against the Tigers, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Montas originally lined up to pitch Friday at Toronto, but he'll be moved up a day to avoid potential visa concerns for a trip to Canada. Sean Manaea, Thursday's originally scheduled starter, will simply be pushed back to start Friday.
