Rodriguez underwent surgery Friday to repair a lat injury, Joe Stiglich of CSN California reports.
Apparently, everything was successful and doctors were able to repair the torn muscle. Rodriguez now faces an extensive rehab process; with the right-hander not expected to pick up a baseball for fourth months, he may be limited at the start of spring training. Rodriguez posted a 4.20 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and five holds in 34 appearances with the A's this season ahead of his first winter of arbitration eligibility.
