The Astros outrighted Weiss to Triple-A Sugar Land after he cleared waivers Wednesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
After being designated for assignment by Houston on June 12, Weiss will remain with the Triple-A team after clearing waivers five days later. The 29-year-old has not pitched for the big-league club since May 4 and has struggled at the minor-league level through 20.1 innings.
