Pena is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.
Pena continues to play every other day as the Astros ease him back into action following a recovery from a fractured finger. He should be ready to resume playing on an everyday basis soon, but it's unclear when exactly it will happen. Carlos Correa will start at shortstop and Isaac Paredes will cover third base Wednesday as the Astros go for the series sweep.
