Wesneski (elbow) began a rehab assignment at the rookie-level Florida Complex League on Tuesday, tossing three scoreless innings with one strikeout.
Wesneski yielded just one hit, retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced. It's a big step as the right-hander continues to work his way back from May 2025 Tommy John surgery. Wesneski will likely need to use most, if not all, of his 30 rehab days, setting him up to rejoin the Astros' active roster around Aug. 1.
