Soriano was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Brewers.
Soriano isn't dealing with any sort of injury, but the Angels will "take a prudent approach" and keep the right-hander on the bench as they listen to trade offers from other teams ahead of Monday's trade deadline. Brent Suter will now take the mound to begin a bullpen game Saturday.
