Triple-A Salt Lake placed Soriano (elbow) on its 60-day injured list Tuesday.
Soriano underwent revision Tommy John surgery in June 2021 and is unlikely to pitch this season since the procedure carries a 16-month recovery timetable. The right-hander was designated for assignment by the Pirates and returned to the Angels in mid-November.
