Quijada was optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday.
Quijada was called up Monday and made a relief appearance in a loss to the Giants, allowing one hit and three walks while striking out three in 1.2 scoreless innings. He'll now return to the minors after catcher Max Stassi (concussion) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list Tuesday.
