  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Totals 3.0 sacks in Year 3

Carter played 12 regular-season games during the 2025 campaign, recording 33 tackles (21 solo), including 3.0 sacks, and seven passes defended.

Carter appeared in 12 regular-season games, but he was ejected before playing a defensive snap during the Week 1 win over Dallas. The 24-year-old added three tackles, including 1.0 sack, during Philadelphia's loss to the 49ers in the wild-card round. Carter also earned Pro-Bowl honors for the second year in a row. He could be in line for a significant contract extension ahead of the 2026 season.

  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Cleared for Sunday

Carter (hip) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's wild-card matchup against the 49ers.

Carter was able to upgrade to a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited in the previous two sessions. The defensive lineman is set to suit up for Sunday's playoff contest alongside starting nose tackle Jordan Davis and defensive end Moro Ojomo. Jaelan Phillips is also clear of any injury designation, so the Eagles are set to have a full starting defensive line on the field for Sunday's elimination game.

  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Limited with hip

Carter (hip) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

Carter missed the Eagles' Week 18 loss to the Commanders due to a hip issue he sustained in practice. The defensive tackle practicing in even a limited capacity is a good sign for his potential availability for Sunday's wild-card clash with the 49ers. The 24-year-old will have two more opportunities to upgrade his practice participation in an attempt to dodge an injury designation ahead of Sunday's contest.

  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Ruled out with hip issue

Carter (hip) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders.

Carter sustained a hip issue in Thursday's practice, and Friday marked consecutive days that the defensive lineman was unable to participate. The team has elected to allow the starter to heal as the playoffs approach, and Ty Robinson is in line to play significant snaps at defensive end opposite Moro Ojomo for the Week 18 divisional matchup.

  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Misses practice Thursday

Carter (hip) did not participate at practice Thursday.

Carter popped up on the injury report with an apparent hip issue Thursday, and he was forced to sit out practice as a result. The defensive lineman will have one more chance to return to practice before Sunday's matchup with the Commanders.

  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Returns to practice Wednesday

Carter (shoulders) was a full participant in practice Wednesday.

This was Carter's first practice in any capacity since he underwent procedures on both shoulders the week of Dec. 1. The expectation this week has been that Carter will be able to return to action Sunday against Buffalo, and he is certainly trending that way with his full practice Wednesday. If Carter does manage to suit up against the Bills, Byron Young -- who has 2.5 sacks in the three contests during Carter's absence -- could see less defensive snaps.
