Packers' Savion Williams: Upgrades to limited practice
Williams (foot) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Williams missed Wednesday's session, but it looks like he has a chance to play through his lingering foot injury again Week 12. If Williams manages to upgrade to a full practice Friday, he could even avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's game against the Vikings. The rookie third-round pick's status will be relatively important for the Packers, given that six of the team's wide receivers appear on Thursday's injury report as limited participants.

Meanwhile, fellow wideouts Romeo Doubs (wrist), Matthew Golden (wrist/shoulder), Christian Watson (knee) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) were all limited in Wednesday's practice. Packers' Savion Williams: Questionable for Sunday
Williams (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Giants, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Williams completed the week of practice with a third limited session, and the rookie could once again look to play through injury, as he did Week 10 against the Eagles. The wide receiver caught a pair of targets for two receiving yards on six offensive snaps and added 57 kick-return yards on three special-teams snaps in last Sunday's loss. The 23-year-old will likely have similar usage if he is able to suit up for this Sunday's contest.

After holding the designation in Wednesday's walkthrough, Williams logged a limited practice Thursday as the rookie continues to deal with a foot injury. Williams (foot) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Eagles, Wes Hodklewicz of the Packers' official site reports.

The rookie third-rounder would be slated for an elevated role on offense if one or both of Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Matthew Golden (shoulder) were to be ruled out for Week 10.

Packers' Savion Williams: Claims first NFL touchdown
Williams took the field for 12 of the Packers' 64 snaps on offense and finished with a one-yard carry and an eight-yard touchdown reception on his lone target in Sunday's 35-25 win over the Steelers. He also returned four kickoffs for 97 yards.
Williams' touchdown grab -- the first of his career -- came with 8:48 remaining in the third quarter and helped cut the Green Bay deficit to two points before the Packers ran away with the game in the fourth quarter. A 2025 third-round pick out of TCU, Williams boasts a big frame (6-foot-4, 222 pounds) and excellent size-adjusted athleticism (4.48-second 40-yard dash time), but he looks set to remain a situational player on offense during his rookie season. Instead, Williams is more likely to offer his biggest weekly contributions on kickoff returns, where he's averaging 25.6 yards per runback through seven games.

Williams rushed twice for 24 yards and had a 30-yard kickoff return in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders.
Williams got into the open field for a 16-yard gain on a direct snap in the fourth quarter and would have had even more yardage on the play had he not tripped on his own. The rookie third-round pick looks likely to be limited to gadget plays and special teams early on, as he has just one target through two games, though it's possible Williams' role as a wide receiver will expand in the absence of Jayden Reed (collarbone).
