Seahawks' Derick Hall: Eight sacks in 2024
Hall finished the 2024 season with 37 total tackles (20 solo), including 8.0 sacks, while also adding two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery over 17 games.
Hall was a force to be reckoned with in 2024, recording 8.0 sacks after failing to get to the quarterback during his rookie campaign in 2023. Additionally, he was able to notch a scoop and score on a fumble recovery in Week 7 versus the Falcons, returning the loose ball for a 64-yard touchdown. The linebacker appears to be an ascending star for Seattle and will look to build off of his impressive sophomore campaign in the NFL in 2025.

Seahawks' Derick Hall: Listed as full participant Tuesday
Hall (shoulder) was listed as a full participant in Tuesday's walkthrough, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Hall was estimated as limited Monday as the Seahawks didn't hold a practice, but he managed to go through Tuesday's walkthrough without limitations. Barring any setbacks, Hall should be good to go for Thursday night's game against Chicago. In the six games since Seattle's Week 10 bye, Hall has logged nine tackles (four solo), including 2.0 sacks.

Seahawks' Derick Hall: Logs sack vs. Minnesota
Hall recorded 1.0 sacks in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Vikings.
The only tackle Hall made in Sunday's narrow loss was a clutch sack, taking down Sam Darnold late in the fourth quarter. The second-year pro from Auburn has had a productive season, recording 34 total tackles, including a team-leading 7.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles across 15 appearances. Expect Hall to remain one of Seattle's top edge rushers in the Week 17 matchup against the Bears.

The Seahawks didn't actually hold a practice Monday, but Hall would've been a limited participant if they had. Hall's status in coming days as Seattle ramps up its practice schedule should offer a better indication of his chances of playing in Thursday's Week 17 matchup against the Bears.

Hall was basically nonexistent as a rookie with zero sacks but has turned things around dramatically in his second season. The 2023 second-round pick should continue to handle a significant snap share as long as Uchenna Nwosu (thigh) is on injured reserve, and his recent production indicates that he'll have high weekly pass-rushing upside even when Nwosu returns.

Hall (foot) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the 49ers, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Despite Hall's questionable tag, head coach Mike Macdonald told reporters Wednesday that he's confident Hall will suit up for Thursday's divisional matchup, per Dugar. However, if the Auburn product's foot injury proves too much to overcome, expect Dre'Mont Jones to step in and serve as Seattle's top weakside linebacker.
