Cardinals' Chase Bisontis: Placed on injured reserve
The Cardinals placed Bisontis (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.
Bisontis suffered a season-ending MCL tear during Thursday's preseason win over the Raiders. The rookie second-round pick was close to overtaking Isaiah Adams for the starting right guard position on the Cardinals' offensive line. Now the 22-year-old will need to wait until 2027 for a shot at regular-season NFL action.

Cardinals' Chase Bisontis: Suffers torn MCL
Bisontis tore his MCL during Thursday night's preseason game against the Raiders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The rookie second-rounder was potentially ready to usurp Isaiah Adams for the starting right guard job. Bisontis will have surgery next week and may miss his entire rookie season as he recovers from the injury. While there is a chance for the 22-year-old to return before the end of the season, the Cardinals' offensive line will have to operate without him for the majority of the 2026 campaign, at minimum.

Cardinals' Chase Bisontis: To be placed on IR
Head coach Mike LaFleur said Saturday that Bisontis (knee) will be placed on injured reserve, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Bisontis tore the MCL in his left knee during the Cardinals' preseason win over the Raiders on Thursday. His impending placement on injured reserve will end his season, and the rookie second-rounder will shift his focus toward rehab and being fully healthy for the start of the 2027 campaign. Isaiah Adams is poised to serve as the Cardinals' starter at right guard in Bisontis' absence.

Coach Mike LaFleur said Thursday that Bisontis' left knee injury appears to be serious, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.
"Not good," LaFleur said following Thursday's preseason matchup against the Raiders. Bisontis had to be helped off the field in the second half and took a cart to the locker room. The second-round rookie was expected to push Isaiah Adams for the starting gig at right guard at some point this season.

Cardinals' Chase Bisontis: Lands with Cardinals in Round 2
The Cardinals selected Bisontis in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft, 34th overall.
Bisontis (6-foot-5, 315 pounds) was a three-year starter at Texas A&M, boasting rare starting experience for a soon-to-be 22-year-old, and he could challenge Isaiah Adams for the starting RG gig early in his career. Arizona inked Isaac Seumalo to a three-year contract in free agency, solidifying the team's LG spot, so the selection of Bisontis further firms up the interior O-line to the benefit of No. 3 overall pick Jeremiyah Love.
