Bengals' Geno Stone: Six stops in loss
Stone recorded six total tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 37-24 loss to the Lions.
Stone maintained his consistent level of play in Week 5, recording at least three solo tackles for the fourth consecutive contest. The safety is on pace to challenge his career-high 81 total tackles (47 solo), which he posted during the 2024 campaign with Cincinnati. Through five games this season, Stone has now registered 34 total tackles (19 solo).

Bengals' Geno Stone: Logs 10 stops in loss
Stone finished Monday's Week 4 loss to the Broncos with 10 tackles (four solo).
Stone and Demetrius Knight each tallied 10 tackles to tie for the Bengals' team lead. The 10 stops marked a season high for Stone, and he now has 28 tackles through the first four games of the campaign.

Bengals' Geno Stone: Back at practice
Stone (undisclosed) is participating in Friday's practice, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Stone has already been ruled out for Cincinnati's second preseason game, and that doesn't figure to change despite his return to practice. As he enters the final season of his two-year, $14 million contract, Stone remains positioned to reprise a starting role at safety, making it the Bengals' priority that he enters Week 1 at 100 percent health.

Bengals' Geno Stone: Dealing with soft tissue injury
Stone is considered week-to-week due to a soft tissue injury and has been ruled out for the Bengals' second preseason game against the Commanders on Monday, Aug. 18, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Stone played just four defensive snaps during the Bengals' preseason loss to the Eagles on Thursday, and that may have been due to his injury. Given that it's training camp, Stone could also miss the Bengals' preseason finale against the Colts on Saturday, Aug. 23 in order to avoid aggravating the injury. If that were to be the case, Stone will aim to be fully healthy for Week 1 against the Colts. In the meantime, Tycen Anderson and Daijahn Anthony are the top candidates to work with the first-team defense at safety alongside Jordan Battle.

Bengals' Geno Stone: Solid first season in Cincinnati
Stone tallied 81 total tackles and six passes defended, including four interceptions, across 17 games in 2024.
Stone signed a two-year, $14 million deal with the Bengals last offseason after recording 68 total tackles and nine passes defended, including seven interceptions (the second most in the NFL), with the Ravens in 2023. The Iowa product had an underwhelming start to the season, posting just 58 total tackles and two passes defended over Cincinnati's first 11 games. However, Stone helped turn the Bengals' defense around late in the season, managing four passes defended, including three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), from Weeks 14-16. He's expected to remain one of the Bengals' starting safeties in 2025, aiming to build on his late-season success in 2024.

Bengals' Geno Stone: Scores first touchdown of career
Stone recorded five tackles (one solo) and an interception returned for a touchdown during Sunday's 37-27 win at Tennessee.
Stone ran in front of an ill-advised Will Levis pass deep over the middle in the third quarter, and he kept his forward momentum to quickly return it 39 yards for a touchdown and put the Bengals up 31-14. He'll be looking to extend his interception streak to three games in Week 16 versus the Browns.
