Eagles' Andrew Mukuba: Back at practice
Mukuba (shoulder) was cleared to return to practice Sunday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Mukuba did not participate in practices this past week while nursing a shoulder injury, but he recovered enough to be given the green light to return for Sunday's session. The rookie second-round pick is competing for a starting spot at safety alongside Reed Blankenship, so Mukuba's return to the field is critical for his chances against the likes of Tristin McCollum and Sydney Brown.

Eagles' Andrew Mukuba: Nursing shoulder injury
Mukuba did not participate in Monday's practice due to a shoulder injury, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Mukuba may have picked up the injury during Saturday's practice, when he collided with Danny Gray in team drills. The severity of the injury hasn't been announced, but Mukuba will be limited to sideline work until he's fully recovered from his injury, which could impact his availability for the Eagles' preseason opener against the Bengals on Aug. 7. The rookie second-rounder is projected to start at safety alongside Reed Blankenship, so Mukuba's absence opens the door for Tristin McCollum and Sydney Brown to get more reps with the first-team defense.

Eagles' Andrew Mukuba: Getting first-team reps
Mukuba saw first-team reps at safety in the Eagles' nickel defense Thursday, Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleeding Green Nation reports.
The 2025 second-round pick could be in a prime position to play meaningful snaps early in his career, based on how he was used in practice Thursday. With Cooper DeJean reportedly moving all over the secondary, it will be interesting to see how Mukuba, who led the SEC in interceptions with five last year, continues to fit in the defensive plans.
