Packers' Collin Oliver: Still working through injury
Head coach Matt LaFleur relayed Wednesday that Oliver is still working through a hamstring injury, and his ability to return from the reserve/PUP list is "up in the air," Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
The rookie fifth-rounder opened training camp on the PUP list due to a hamstring injury, which has prevented him from participating in practices since. The injury is severe enough for Oliver to remain limited to off-field work, and there doesn't appear to be a clear timeline for him to make his NFL regular-season debut.

Packers' Collin Oliver: Set to miss at least four games
Oliver (hamstring) was placed on the reserve/PUP list by the Packers on Tuesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official website reports.
Oliver will be forced to miss at least four games to open the 2025 season as he continues to nurse a hamstring injury. The 22-year-old was expected to operate as a depth option on defense in his rookie campaign, so his early absence doesn't carry a significant impact.

Oliver is competing for a depth defensive-end spot on the Packers' 53-man roster, and he's missing out on valuable practice reps while working through his hamstring injury. Oliver was selected in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft despite suffering a foot injury during his final collegiate season. He participated in the combine, so this issue presumably isn't related, though that is still unclear at this point.

Packers' Collin Oliver: Nabbed by Packers in Round 5
The Packers selected Oliver in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 159th overall.
Oliver's 2024 season ended after just two games due to a foot injury, but he impressed at the combine, showcasing his athleticism and alleviating some concerns surrounding the foot. Oliver produced 73 tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 6.0 sacks in his lone full season as a starter with Oklahoma State in 2023. He doesn't have a ton of experience dropping into coverage and may serve as a rotational rusher early in his career, though a future as an off-ball linebacker may not be off the table either, depending on how defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley views him. He'll likely slot into a depth role and be a possible special teams contributor as a rookie.
