Packers' Josh Jacobs: Officially inactive in Week 12
Jacobs (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
Jacobs made an early exit from a Week 11 win at the Giants with what he eventually called a bone bruise in his knee and a thigh contusion, per Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site. After opening Week 12 prep with no activity Wednesday, Jacobs followed it up with back-to-back limited practices and entered the weekend as questionable. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday evening that Jacobs was slated to go through a pregame warmup before Green Bay made a decision on his availability, and the team didn't see enough to clear him for Sunday's contest. Emanuel Wilson thus is set to pace the Packers backfield for at least one game, while Chris Brooks and practice-squad elevation Pierre Strong also are on hand for RB reps. Jacobs will turn his focus to a Thanksgiving Day matchup at Detroit.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Not in line to play Sunday
Jacobs (knee) isn't expected to play Sunday against the Vikings, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday evening that Jacobs' availability for Week 12 would come down to a pregame warmup, but even before the running back could partake in one, the Packers seem to be leaning toward giving him the day off due to the bone bruise in his knee and thigh contusion that he sustained last Sunday at the Giants. Green Bay's inactive list will be confirmed about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, but assuming Jacobs' name is included, Emanuel Wilson will be lined up to be the team's No. 1 RB, with Chris Brooks and practice-squad elevation Pierre Strong also on hand.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Status Sunday to be game-time call
Jacobs (knee), who is officially questionable for Sunday's Week 12 matchup against Minnesota, will go through pre-game warmups before Green Bay decides whether he'll be active, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Schefter shares that Jacobs' knee is still "tender" despite the fact that it is structurally sound. It's also important to note that the Packers play again Thursday on Thanksgiving versus Detroit, so the veteran running back will have a short turnaround if he does suit up Sunday. Fantasy managers who roster Jacobs should have a contingency plan in place for at least Week 12 since his status is very much up in the air and probably won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 PM ET kickoff.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Listed as questionable
Jacobs (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Jacobs missed the second half of last week's win over the Giants, but testing Monday revealed nothing more than a contusion, which allowed for a return to limited practice participation Thursday and Friday. Emanuel Wilson will take over as the lead runner if Jacobs ends up inactive ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday. An upcoming matchup with the Lions on Thanksgiving Day could influence Green Bay's decision on Jacobs, though both games are crucial if the Packers hope to win the NFC North and not just fight for a wild card.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: To remain limited Friday
Jacobs (knee) will remain limited at practice Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
With regard to Jacobs' chances of playing Sunday against the Vikings, coach Matt LaFleur noted Friday that "It's a collective decision always." The Packers' upcoming injury report thus is slated to reveal whether the team's top running back has a chance to play this weekend, but if Jacobs is unavailable against Minnesota, Emanuel Wilson and, to a lesser degree, Chris Brooks would be in line for added work Week 12.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Officially limited Thursday
Jacobs (knee) practiced on a limited basis Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Jacobs was capped to individual drills during the Packers' second Week 12 session, after which he touched on the nature of the injuries that knocked him out of this past Sunday's win at the Giants in the second quarter. He told Wes Hodkiewicz of the team's official site that he suffered a bone bruise in his knee and a thigh contusion, but the swelling has gone down significantly since then. Jacobs also said that he needs to regain range of motion in the leg in question, meaning Friday's practice likely will be key for his chances to suit up Sunday against the Vikings. Emanuel Wilson is poised to take on most of the backfield work if Jacobs is inhibited or sidelined this weekend, with Chris Brooks on hand for touches as well.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Practicing Thursday
Jacobs (knee) took part in individual drills at Thursday's practice, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Per Zach Kruse of USA Today, coach Matt LaFleur hinted earlier Thursday that Jacobs had a chance to practice, but his official activity level won't be known until the Packers post their second Week 12 injury report. Jacobs made an early exit from this past Sunday's win at the Giants with what eventually was termed a bruised knee, and while he won't require surgery, he is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Vikings. Emanuel Wilson and, to a lesser extent, Chris Brooks are in line for increased workloads in the event that Jacobs is limited or sidelined this weekend.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Could practice Thursday
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that Jacobs (knee) has a chance to participate in practice Thursday, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
After not practicing Wednesday, Jacobs looks poised to take a step forward in terms of his activity Thursday, even if it doesn't translate to a change in how the team lists his level of participation. According to LaFleur, Jacobs will go through the team warmup as well as individual work Thursday, and depending on how his knee responds to those activities, the Packers will decide whether he'll mix into drills with his healthy teammates. If Jacobs ultimately gets the green light to take part in drills, it would be an encouraging sign for his odds of playing Sunday against the Vikings.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: Absent from practice Wednesday
Jacobs (knee) will not practice Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Coach Matt LaFleur declined to rule Jacobs out for Sunday's game against the Vikings, calling his injury a "day-by-day thing," per Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site. The starting running back is nursing a knee contusion suffered during Green Bay's win over the Giants in Week 11. Emanuel Wilson will be in line to start Week 12 if Jacobs is unable to play, though given the blitz-heavy nature of Minnesota's defense, change-of-pace back Chris Brooks will also be a candidate to see an uptick in fantasy-friendly opportunities.

Packers' Josh Jacobs: No major injury, won't need surgery
Jacobs (knee) has avoided a major injury and will not require surgery, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The Packers will evaluate Jacobs again toward the end of the week, and the running back has yet to be ruled out for next Sunday's game against the Vikings. It's a best-case scenario for Jacobs, who was forced to leave Sunday's win over the Giants in the first half. In Jacobs' absence, Emanuel Wilson played a season-high 71 percent of the offensive snaps and rushed 11 times for 40 yards and one touchdown, adding one catch for nine yards on one target. Chris Brooks played just five offensive snaps and handled one carry for eight yards. If Jacobs needs to miss time, Wilson would become an immediate plug-and-play fantasy starter.
