Davis (shoulder) cleared waivers and reverted to Indianapolis' injured reserve Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Davis suffered the injury during the preseason opener and was waived/injured Tuesday by the Colts. He won't have a chance to see the field this season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.

Colts' Quartney Davis: Injured in preseason opener
Davis sustained a shoulder injury in Sunday's preseason opener against the Panthers, Joel A. Erickson of IndyStar reports.
Davis had two catches for 29 yards prior to sustaining the injury. He can ill afford to miss much time given how far down the Colts' depth chart Davis is buried, so the wide receiver will likely do all he can to get back out there for Week 2 of the preseason in Minnesota.

Davis was in Cleveland on Friday to work out for the Browns, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Davis, who went undrafted out of Texas A&M in April, hooked up with the Vikings for training camp but was cut prior to the start of the season. The Browns have lost two receivers for the season due to injury -- Odell Beckham and JoJo Natson -- so they are exploring depth options.
