Okwuegbunam reverted to the Raiders' practice squad Monday.
Okwuegbunam was elevated to the Raiders' active roster for a second straight game in Sunday's 40-6 loss to the colts. He didn't end up playing in the Week 4 loss to the Bears, but he saw the field for 31 offensive snaps Sunday due to the absences of Brock Bowers (knee) and Michael Mayer (concussion) at tight end. Okwuegbunam took advantage of the additional playing time, finishing the Week 5 loss with five catches (on six targets) for 36 yards. Okwuegbunam would be in line to be elevated to Las Vegas' active roster for Week 6 against the Titans if one or both of Bowers and Mayer aren't cleared to play.

Okwuegbunam signed with the Colts' practice squad last December but didn't appear in a regular-season game during the 2024 campaign. The 27-year-old clearly didn't show enough in practice this offseason behind Tyler Warren, Mo Alie-Cox, Drew Ogletree, Jelani Woods and Will Mallory. Okwuegbunam has been on IR all season while recovering from the core-muscle surgery he underwent in August, but he looks to be back to 100 percent after turning in a trio of full practices in both of the past two weeks. He didn't carry a designation into Sunday's contest, but the Eagles won't look to open up a spot on the 53-man roster for him just yet, even with top tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) set to miss a second straight game.
