Dolphins' Benito Jones: Good to go Thursday
Jones (oblique) is active for Thursday night's game against the Bills.
The defensive tackle was listed as questionable Wednesday after being tagged as a limited participant on Miami's practice reports this week. Jones suffered the injury in Week 1 against the Colts and missed the Dolphins' Week 2 clash with the Patriots. In the opener, he played on 18 defensive snaps but did not record a stat.

Dolphins' Benito Jones: Officially questionable for Week 3
Jones (oblique) is questionable for Thursday's road game against the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Jones has been officially limited on all three of Miami's practice reports leading up to Thursday's contest, though two of those were merely estimated sessions. After having missed Week 2 due to an oblique injury suffered during the Dolphins' regular-season opener, Jones appears to be a candidate to retake the field versus Buffalo. His status may not be made official until 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, however.

Dolphins' Benito Jones: Logs limited practice Tuesday
Jones (oblique) was a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Jones missed Miami's Week 2 loss to New England due to an oblique injury that he suffered against Indianapolis in Week 1. He's opened the week with back-to-back limited practices, and depending on his practice participation Wednesday, he could be cleared to return Thursday against the Bills. Rookie first-rounder Kenneth Grant will continue to see additional snaps at defensive tackle for as long as Jones is sidelined.

Dolphins' Benito Jones: Ruled out for Week 2
Jones (oblique) won't play Sunday against the Patriots, Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Friday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Jones was deemed week-to-week after getting hurt in this past Sunday's loss to the Colts, so it's no surprise that he'll miss at least one game due to his oblique injury. His next chance to play will come Thursday in a Week 3 trip to Buffalo. Rookie draft picks Kenneth Grant (first round) and Zeek Biggers (seventh round) could see more playing time at defensive tackle in Jones' absence.

Dolphins' Benito Jones: Considered week-to-week
Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that Jones is considered week-to-week with an oblique injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
The Ole Miss product exited Sunday's loss to the Colts after sustaining an oblique injury, limiting him to just 23 total snaps (18 defensive and five on special teams). Jones was relatively unimpactful while on the field in Week 1, failing to record a stat prior to his exit. He likely needs to log at least one limited practice session throughout the week to have a chance of playing in Miami's Week 2 matchup against the Patriots.

It's unclear when Jones suffered the injury, but he will be evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Sunday's contest. Jordan Phillips and Kenneth Grant stand to see more rotational snaps at defensive tackle alongside Zach Sieler in Jones' absence.
