Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Modest opportunity in loss
Barkley rushed 12 times for 58 yards and brought in two of three targets for nine yards in the Eagles' 34-17 loss to the Giants on Thursday night.
Barkley was set up well on paper for a matchup against the Giants' porous run defense, but game script would eventually cap his opportunities and lead to his second-lowest carry total of the campaign. He was efficient with his opportunities, averaging an encouraging 4.8 yards per carry after posting 5.0 yards per tote in the Week 5 loss to the Broncos. Barkley has still to crack the 90-yard mark on the ground through six games, however, and he's still averaging just 3.4 yards per carry on the season thanks to a slow start to the season. Barkley will have a tough Week 7 challenge on his hands as well, considering the talented Vikings defense awaits in a Week 7 road matchup on Sunday, Oct. 19.

Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Ready for Thursday Night Football
Barkley (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and has been cleared to suit up Thursday against the Giants.
Barkley is ready to suit up for Thursday's divisional match after having been estimated as a non-participant Monday and as limited during Tuesday's walk-through. The star running back has reportedly dealt with general soreness in his knee, and he played a season-low 72 percent of offensive snaps Week 5 while carrying the ball just six times for 30 rushing yards. Given that context, it's possible his workload could be managed Thursday night coming off a short week of practice.

Eagles' Saquon Barkley: Gets in limited practice Tuesday
Barkley (knee) was listed as a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
Though the Eagles didn't hold a traditional practice session, Barkley was upgraded in terms of activity after he was estimated as a non-participant on Monday's report. According to Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, Barkley reiterated Tuesday that he intends to play Thursday against the Giants, despite dealing with general soreness in his knee. However, given the quick turnaround for the Week 6 contest following Sunday's loss to the Broncos, Barkley could have his workload managed a little more than he normally might.
