Patriots' Carlton Davis: Practices in full Saturday
Davis (hamstring) was a full participant in Saturday's practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Davis said he is still getting over the issue but feels good. The cornerback's return to practice means he may be able to suit up for a few snaps in next Saturday's preseason showdown against the Eagles. If the team wants to take Davis' return slowly, Kindle Vildor and Marcellas Dial may see more snaps at cornerback throughout the preseason.

Patriots' Carlton Davis: Back at practice
Davis (hamstring) returned to practice as a limited participant Monday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports
After injuring his hamstring on July 28, Davis returned to the New England practice field Monday on a limited basis, making it likely that he avoided a severe tear. The 29-year-old is once again in line to be one of the starting outside cornerbacks for a top-performing Patriots defense alongside Christian Gonzalez. Davis will look to continue his solid defensive play from 2025, when he recorded 69 tackles and 10 pass deflections across 17 regular-season games.

Patriots' Carlton Davis: Out for at least another week
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said Friday that Davis will be sidelined for at least another week due to a hamstring injury, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Davis injured his hamstring during training camp practice July 28 and has not participated in any drills since. The veteran cornerback was unlikely to see much action in preseason games anyways, and if he's ruled for the Patriots' first exhibition game against the Colts on Thursday, then Kobee Minor, Karon Prunty and Marcellas Dial would all be in line for more snaps at outside corner. Davis is looking to build off a solid 2025 regular season, when he tallied 69 tackles (39 solo) and 10 pass defenses over 17 games.

Patriots' Carlton Davis: Still dealing with injury
Davis (undisclosed) did not participate at the Patriots' training camp practice Wednesday, Sophie Weller of USA Today reports.
It's still not immediately clear what kind of issue Davis is tending to, and there's no concrete timetable for his return to practice. In the meantime, Charles Woods figures to continue to see more reps with the first-team secondary.

Patriots' Carlton Davis: Absent from Thursday practice
Davis (undisclosed) was not present at Thursday's practice, Mike Kadlick of CLNSMedia.com reports.
Davis' absence allowed Charles Woods to receive starting reps across from Christian Gonzalez. Kobee Minor and Karon Prunty may also get a chance at meaningful reps if Davis has a more serious issue.

Patriots' Carlton Davis: Career-high tackles in 2025
Davis made 69 tackles (39 solo) while suiting up for all 17 regular-season games with the Patriots in 2025. He also had 10 passes defensed.
Davis also logged 20 tackles (14 solo) and four passes defensed, including two interceptions, across four postseason appearances. The standout 2025 free-agent signee has two more years remaining on his contract with New England, and though the team will have a potential 'out' after the 2026 campaign, Davis remains locked in as a starting cornerback for the Patriots next season.
