49ers' Jauan Jennings: Limited in return to practice
Jennings (ankle/rib) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
Jennings has been dealing with a rib injury since taking a big hit in the second half of a Week 4 loss to the Jaguars, which held him out of the 49ers' Week 5 win at the Rams and didn't allow him to practice until this Thursday. According to Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News, GM John Lynch noted earlier Thursday that Jennings may return to action Sunday at Tampa Bay. Ultimately, Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not Jennings has a chance to play this weekend.

49ers' Jauan Jennings: Back at practice
Jennings (ankle/rib) returned to practice Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
This marks Jennings' first on-field work since Week 4 prep as he tends to lingering ankle and rib injuries. GM John Lynch said earlier Thursday that Jennings may be limited at the 49ers' upcoming session and also return for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay, per Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News. The team's second Week 6 practice report will reveal Jennings' activity level Thursday, but he likely will need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid a designation entering the weekend.

49ers' Jauan Jennings: Missing practice Wednesday
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Jennings (ankle/ribs) won't participate in Wednesday's practice, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
The same can be said for QB Brock Purdy (toe) and WR Ricky Pearsall (knee), but unlike those two players, Shanahan didn't provide insight into Jennings' chance to return to action this weekend. Having said that, Jennings likely will need to mix into drills Thursday and/or Friday to put himself in a position to play Sunday at Tampa Bay. In three games this season, Jennings has put together a modest 9-129-1 line on 19 targets.
