Jaguars' DaVon Hamilton: Makes career-high 62 tackles
Hamilton racked up 62 tackles (34 solo) across 17 regular-season games with the Jaguars in 2024.
Hamilton enjoyed a career year in terms of production, but as was the case largely across the board for Jacksonville's defense, he struggled to emerge as a true difference maker. He has two years remaining on his deal with the Jaguars, though the team has a potential out after the 2025 campaign. Hamilton has now logged back-to-back seasons without recording a single sack.

Jaguars' DaVon Hamilton: Set to return for Week 8
The Jaguars activated Hamilton (back) from injured reserve Saturday.
The 2020 third-round pick out of Ohio State will now be in line to make his season debut after being placed on injured reserve at the end of training camp. Hamilton played in all 17 games last season for the Jaguars and registered 56 tackles (27 solo), 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He'll add strength to the team's interior defensive line alongside Roy Robertson-Harris and Adam Gotsis.

Hamilton (back) will be inactive for Thursday's matchup with the Saints.
Hamilton, who has been designated to return from IR, was a full participant at practice all week, but he'll be held out for at least one more contest as he works his way back from a back injury. The Jaguars designated Hamilton for a return Thursday, but it looks like they are going to ease him back into the swing of things. He has a 21-day practice window to return, so there is no need to rush him out there. The 26-year-old nose tackle is expected to give the Jaguars' interior defensive trenches a notable boost upon his return.

Hamilton's 21-day practice window thus begins. The Jaguars can activate him from IR at any point within that period, meaning he could have a chance to suit up for Sunday's game against the Colts. Hamilton (back) will not be taking the trip to London and will miss each of the team's next two games, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Hamilton would have been eligible to be activated from injured reserve before the team's Week 5 matchup with the Bills in London, but he'll remain in Jacksonville to continue training for his return. This would leave Week 6 against the Colts as his next likeliest return date, although there's still no guarantee the Ohio State product will be ready by then.

The Jaguars were hopeful Hamilton was nearing a return, but they will choose to exercise caution instead. He was plagued throughout training camp with back spasms. The 26-year-old nose tackle is viewed as a key component to Jacksonville's defense, but he will now have to miss at least the first four games of the season. Jaguars' DaVon Hamilton: Nearing return
Hamilton (back) could return next week, according to head coach Doug Pederson, J.P. Shadrick of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Hamilton's back spasms have plagued him throughout training camp. After initially being sidelined at the start, he returned to practice in early August before being shut down again. Hamilton is expected to play a pivotal role along the defensive front this season after signing a three-year, $34.5 million extension in the offseason.
