Packers' Chris Slayton: Picked up by Packers
Slayton was claimed off waivers by the Packers on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Slayton was waived by the 49ers on Monday after spending the 2021 season on San Francisco's practice squad, and he has yet to make his on-field NFL debut. The 2019 seventh-round pick will look to carve out a spot for himself on Green Bay's depth chart alongside backup nose tackles Tedarrell Slaton and Jonathan Ford behind clear-cut starter Kenny Clark.

Chris Slayton: Gets cut Monday
Slayton was waived by the 49ers on Monday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Slayton spent last season on San Francisco's practice squad and also has spent time with the Steelers, Falcons and Giants in previous years. The 25-year-old has yet to appear in an NFL game and now will look to earn the opportunity to do so elsewhere.

Falcons' Chris Slayton: Sticking with Falcons
Slayton signed a reserve/future contract with the Falcons on Monday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Slayton remains without an NFL appearance since entering the league as a seventh-round draft choice of the Giants in 2019. He participated on Atlanta's practice squad throughout this season, and he'll likely fill a similar role in 2021 if capable of locking down a reserve spot heading into next September.

Falcons' Chris Slayton: Summoned from practice squad
Slayton has been called up to the Falcons' active roster in preparation for the team's Week 6 matchup against Minnesota, Jason Butt of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The Falcons currently have two interior defensive linemen -- Marlon Davidson and John Cominsky -- who are listed on the reserve-COVID-19 list. Slayton still has not made his NFL debut since being selected by the Giants in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but if starters Grady Jarrett or Tyeler Davison need a breather Sunday against the Vikings, Slayton and Deadrin Senat will be in line for snaps.

Giants' Chris Slayton: Joins Giants' active roster
Slayton has been promoted to the Giants' 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's season finale against the Eagles.
Slayton has spent the season on New York's practice squad after getting waived during final roster cuts prior to Week 1. Given the Giants' season will come to a close following the contest, it makes sense for them to see what they have in their rookie seventh-round pick.

Chris Slayton: Waived by Giants
Slayton was waived by the Giants on Saturday, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
The Giants selected Slayton during the seventh round of April's draft, but he was unable to show enough prior to Saturday's roster deadline to earn a place on the 53-man roster. The 23-year-old had six tackles (two solo) in four preseason contests.

Giants' Chris Slayton: Going to New York
The Giants selected Slayton in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 245th overall.
Slayton (6-foot-4, 307 pounds) might be redundant to first-round pick Dexter Lawrence in the sense that both primarily project as gap-holding defensive linemen, but Slayton might stick around anyway as a four-year contributor at Syracuse who flashed occasional disruption ability (32.5 tackles for loss in four years).
