  • Jordan Chunn: Let go by NY

Chunn was waived by the Giants on Sunday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.

Chunn was let go to clear a spot for free-agent signing Corey Clement. The Troy product will hope to get an opportunity in camp with another team.

  • Giants' Jordan Chunn: Inks futures deal with Giants

Chunn signed a reserve/future contract with the Giants on Tuesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

The 25-year-old was on the Cowboys' practice squad in 2019 but was unable to latch on with a new team after being cut in July. Chunn will receive an opportunity with a division rival and go through the offseason program with the Giants.

  • Jordan Chunn: Cut by Dallas

The Cowboys have released Chunn (knee) with a non-football injury designation, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Chunn reportedly has been dealing with a minor knee injury, one that he suffered while away from the team. The 2018 UDFA made one appearance for the Cowboys last season and also spent time on the practice squad. Dallas is now left with Rico Dowdle and Darius Anderson competing for the No. 3 halfback spot, though there's still time to add a body or two before training camp.

  • Cowboys' Jordan Chunn: Remains in Dallas

Chunn signed a reserve/future contract with the Cowboys on Monday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Chunn spent the majority of the 2019 season on the Cowboys' practice squad. He spent one game on the active roster but only played on special teams. With a full offseason in Dallas, the Troy-product will look to land a spot on the 53-man roster next season.

  • Jordan Chunn: Rejoins practice squad

Chunn signed with the Cowboys' practice squad Monday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Chunn was waived by Dallas last week and now reemerges on the practice squad. He could be called up to the active roster as a special teams contributor at some point this season.

  • Jordan Chunn: Let go by Cowboys

Dallas waived Chunn on Tuesday, Rob Phillips of the Cowboys' official site reports.

Chunn logged 16 snaps on special teams in Dallas' season-opening win over the Giants on Sunday. The Troy product's release leaves only Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard on the Cowboys' running back depth chart. Sunday was Chunn's first regular-season NFL game action.

  • Cowboys' Jordan Chunn: No injury tag

Chunn (ribs) didn't have an injury designation for Wednesday's practice, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Chunn was released from the team on cut-down day, but he was re-signed on Monday as the Cowboys feared Ezekiel Elliott wouldn't return for Week 1. Elliott signed Wednesday and will be ready to play Sunday versus the Giants, meaning a now-healthy Jordan Chunn will have virtually no fantasy value going forward.

  • Cowboys' Jordan Chunn: Re-signs with Dallas

Chunn (ribs) re-signed with the Cowboys on Monday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The signing implies some level of concern about Ezekiel Elliott's availability for Week 1 against the Giants. It also suggests Chunn should be ready to play, despite injuring his ribs in the Cowboys' preseason finale. Regardless of Elliott's status, Chunn is stuck behind Tony Pollard and Alfred Morris in the backfield and will likely see most of his action on special teams.

  • Cowboys' Jordan Chunn: Ruled out with rib injury

Chunn won't return to Thursday's preseason game against the Bucaneers due to a rib injury, Lindsay Draper of the Dallas Cowboys reports.

Chunn will be considered day-to-day until more details surrounding his injury emerge. If serious, the issue could certainly have an impact on his chances of making the 53-man roster.

  • Cowboys' Jordan Chunn: Scores TD against Texans

Chunn carried the ball seven times for 25 yards and caught both of his targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason win over the Texans.

The second-year back out of Troy spent all of 2018 on the practice squad, and Chunn showed why the Cowboys have kept him around with an impressive 12-yard TD catch in the third quarter Saturday. If Ezekiel Elliott's holdout extends into the regular season, there could be an opening for a third RB behind Tony Pollard and Alfred Morris on the initial 53-man roster, but Chunn would still have to beat out seventh-round pick Mike Weber, as well as the athletic Darius Jackson, to claim it.

  • Cowboys' Jordan Chunn: Signs contract with Cowboys

Chunn signed a reserve/future contract with the Cowboys on Monday.

Chunn signed a contract with the Cowboys in May of 2018 as an undrafted free agent but did not factor into Dallas' running game following the preseason. The 6-foot running back will look to make a larger impression during 2019 training camp as he tries to crack the 53-man roster.
