- Georgia OLB Chase Vasser is the fourth projected defensive starter expected to miss games due to suspension. He was arrested for DUI in May, but UGA officials did not confirm that until Thursday.
- Florida QBs Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskell are dead even as the Gators open fall camp.
- Alabama RB Eddie Lacy is showing no ill effects after missing spring practice due to foot surgery.
- Onterio McCalebb and Tre Mason lead a pack of five Auburn tailbacks vying to replace Michael Dyer.
- At Missouri practice, it was hard to tell that QB James Franklin recently had shoulder surgery. "You just marvel at him," coach Gary Pinkel said.
- Ole Miss could be without two key freshmen due to academic issues when practice starts Saturday.
