Kings' Dexter Dennis: Inks training camp deal
The Kings signed Dennis to a training camp contract Saturday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Dennis will likely suit up for the G League's Stockton Kings for a second straight season if unable to secure a spot on Sacramento's roster. He played in 47 games with Stockton during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 13.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Kings' Dexter Dennis: Signs with Sacramento
Dennis agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Kings on Wednesday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Dennis spent time in the G League during the 2023-24 campaign with the Texas Legends and Cleveland Charge, and he averaged 9.8 points and 4.3 rebounds in 26.8 minutes per game over 31 regular-season appearances between the two clubs. He'll join Sacramento ahead of training camp, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him land with the G League's Stockton Charge once the regular season begins.

Dexter Dennis: Waived by Dallas
Dennis was waived by the Mavericks on Thursday, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
Dennis has played mainly for the G League's Texas Legends this season after joining the Mavericks on a two-way deal in October. He averaged 15.7 points and 6.4 rebounds in 35.3 minutes per game over 13 appearances with the Legends, and he could rejoin the G League club if he clears waivers. Dennis has been limited to four appearances at the NBA level, but he impressed in a 17-minute cameo in a blowout loss to the Rockets on Dec. 22, scoring 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and adding five rebounds and four assists.

Mavericks' Dexter Dennis: Thrives with extended opportunity
Dennis provided 18 points (8-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 17 minutes during Friday's 122-96 loss to the Rockets.
Dennis has spent the vast majority of the season with the G League's Texas Legends, but he got a chance to play for the Mavericks on Friday with the team missing a bevy of players, including both Luka Doncic (quadriceps) and Kyrie Irving (heel). Dennis took full advantage of the opportunity, tallying a career-best point total (he had scored just four NBA points over two games coming in) and chipping in nice numbers on the boards and as a distributor as well. It needs to be noted that his work came mostly in garbage time, but there's also precedent for him being productive -- over 13 G League games this season, he's averaging 15.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.3 three-pointers and 1.2 steals over 35.3 minutes.
