The Lakers recalled Knecht from the G League's South Bay Lakers on Saturday, Ryan Ward of SI.com reports.
The parent club was off Saturday, so Knecht was assigned to South Bay for the club's regular-season finale in order to pick up some meaningful run. The second-year wing finished Saturday's 140-132 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce with 18 points (4-10 FG, 8-9 FT), eight rebounds and four assists in 33 minutes. Knecht hasn't been a rotation player at the NBA level for most of the season, but he could get some minutes Monday against the Wizards due to Luka Doncic (suspension) being unavailable and Marcus Smart (ankle) being uncertain to play.

Knecht is now available off the bench for the Lakers' game against the Timberwolves. He hasn't seen double-digit minutes since the Feb. 10 loss to the Spurs, and Knecht may not see the court at all versus Minnesota.
Knecht (hamstring) is available for Monday's game against the Thunder.
Knecht was previously listed as questionable due to right hamstring soreness but will push through and suit up Monday. The wing hasn't made much of an impact as of late, averaging 3.0 points in 4.4 minutes per contest over his past five appearances. While his availability is a positive, there's no guarantee Knecht sees the floor against the Thunder.

Knecht practiced Sunday in the G League with the South Bay Lakers before being recalled prior to Los Angeles' game Monday versus the Thunder, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Knecht has largely been outside of the Los Angeles rotation for the last three weeks, appearing in just eight of the team's last 13 games while playing fewer than 10 minutes on every occasion. Given his light usage of late, Knecht was likely assigned to the G League simply to get some extra practice reps in. He'll be available off the bench Monday but isn't expected to be part of the rotation.
Head coach JJ Redick told reporters Friday that Knecht will see more minutes Friday against the Grizzlies and for the foreseeable future, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
Knecht has seen single-digit minutes in six of his last nine NBA games and has spent time in the G League with the South Bay Lakers. However, the second-year wing is poised to be more involved in the Lakers rotation due to the absences of Gabe Vincent (back), Rui Hachimura (calf) and Austin Reaves (calf). Knecht will have a chance to establish a more consistent role for himself starting Friday in the first game of the Lakers' two-game home set against Memphis.

Knecht produced 30 points (10-17 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 36 minutes of Tuesday's 127-118 G League win over the San Diego Clippers.
With Knecht falling out of the rotation at the NBA level, he was sent to South Bay to get some live reps, and he made the most of them. More games in the G League could be on the table for Knecht in the future, but he was recalled to the NBA club Wednesday morning.

Knecht accumulated three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) in one minute during Wednesday's 132-119 loss to the Spurs.
Knecht continues to be a non-factor for the Lakers, having scored double digits only five times thus far this season. He has played in three of the past four games, averaging 3.7 points in 5.7 minutes per game during that span. At this stage, he would need a miracle to have any chance of going close to putting up fantasy value, outside of very deep formats.
Knecht had four points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one block across 17 minutes during Sunday's 133-121 win over the Pelicans.
Knecht has effectively been phased out of the Lakers' regular rotation. Even with LeBron James (foot) and Marcus Smart (back) ruled out for Sunday's game, Knecht played only 17 minutes. With a fully healthy squad, Knecht will likely not see the court. Prior to Sunday night, Knecht logged just a total of five minutes (and two DNPs) in his last four games.
