Hawks' Onyeka Okongwu: Stuffs stat sheet in loss
Okongwu provided 14 points (4-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, three assists, four blocks and two steals over 28 minutes during Friday's 142-115 loss to the Pistons.
Okongwu had a mixed performance in a blowout loss to the Pistons, recording a season high in blocks and turnovers. The USC product leads the league with three games collecting at least two steals and three blocks in the same game. The big man has scored in double figures in all but three games this season and remains a steady source of points, rebounds, and stocks.

Hawks' Asa Newell: Scores 10 points in blowout loss
Newell closed Friday's 142-115 loss to the Pistons with 10 points (4-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 17 minutes.
Newell has scored in double figures in each of his last three appearances, during which he has missed only four of his 17 shots from the field. The 20-year-old forward has played at least 12 minutes in all three of those outings with Kristaps Porzingis (illness) unavailable, and Newell is making a case to stick in the rotation whenever Porzingis is out. Newell is averaging 4.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.4 assists across 9.0 minutes per contest in 16 regular-season games thus far.

Hawks' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Team-high 22 points in loss
Alexander-Walker amassed 22 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and two rebounds across 31 minutes during Friday's 142-115 loss to Detroit.
Alexander-Walker led Atlanta in scoring in the blowout loss, delivering another efficient shooting performance. It was also his first game this season without an assist and his eighth with two or fewer rebounds. The 27-year-old guard has excelled as a scorer with Trae Young (knee) sidelined. Alexander-Walker has scored at least 20 points in 10 of the team's last 13 outings, knocking down multiple triples in all but one game over that stretch.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Logs another triple-double
Johnson supplied 19 points (7-19 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 assists, 11 rebounds and two steals across 34 minutes in Friday's 142-115 loss to the Pistons.
Johnson struggled with efficiency but still finished as Atlanta's second-leading scorer. The 23-year-old forward led the Hawks in assists and boards, matching the team-high mark in steals as well. Johnson already owns the franchise record for most triple-doubles in a single season and is now tied with Mookie Blaylock for the most total triple-doubles in franchise history. Johnson is the first Hawk to record three such outings in a row. He has logged four triple-doubles and two double-doubles over his last six outings.

Hawks' Kristaps Porzingis: Out with illness
Porzingis has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons due to illness.
Porzingis will miss a second a second straight game after being rested Saturday against Washington. His next chance to suit up will arrive Sunday against Philly. Onyeka Okongwu will have a good chance to draw another start in Porzingis' place.

Hawks' N'Faly Dante: Out again Friday
Dante (concussion) will not play Friday against the Pistons.
Dante is still in the league's concussion protocol and remains without a timetable for a return. His next chance to play comes Sunday against the 76ers.

Hawks' Trae Young: Another absence coming
Young (knee) will not play Friday against the Pistons.
Young is scheduled to be re-evaluated any day now, and recent reports have indicated that he's targeting a return at some point in December. For now, he can be considered highly questionable for Sunday against the 76ers.

Hawks' Trae Young: Optimistic about December return
Young (knee) is optimistic about a December return, ESPN's Shams Charania reports Tuesday.
"The Hawks have gone 12-8 without Young in the lineup, and they believe his fit with a rising core in Jalen Johnson, Dyson Daniels, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Zaccharie Risacher and Onyeka Okongwu will elevate the team," Charania adds. Young suffered a sprained MCL back on Oct. 29, and he's due to be re-evaluated at some point in mid-December. It still seems unlikely that he will be available for Friday's game against Detroit, to be clear.

Hawks' Jacob Toppin: Undergoes season-ending surgery
The Hawks announced that Toppin underwent season-ending right shoulder surgery Monday.
The procedure was done to repair a torn labrum in Toppin's right shoulder that he sustained while playing for the G League's College Park Skyhawks in late November. The third-year forward signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Hawks this past summer, so it remains to be seen if Atlanta will be interested in retaining Toppin during free agency in the 2026 offseason. While he saw very little action with the parent club this season, the 25-year-old forward averaged 18.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks in 31.0 minutes per contest across five G League outings.

Hawks' Keaton Wallace: Scoreless again in win
Wallace notched zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist across four minutes during Saturday's 131-116 win over the Wizards.
Wallace was used sparingly again, failing to score for the third time in the past four games. Despite the fact that Atlanta is dealing with multiple injuries, Wallace has been unable to carve out a meaningful role for himself. In 23 regular-season appearances, he has averaged just 4.3 points, 2.8 assists and 1.0 three-pointers in 14.6 minutes per game.

Hawks' Vit Krejci: Lands four triples in win
Krejci supplied 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals across 31 minutes during Saturday's 131-116 win over the Wizards.
Krejci scored an efficient 14 points, hitting at least four three-pointers for the second straight game. His playing time and subsequent value are almost completely reliant on his shooting splits, making him a hard player to trust outside of streaming situations. Through 21 games, he is averaging 10.1 points and 2.6 three-pointers in 23.6 minutes per contest.

Hawks' Jalen Johnson: Second straight triple-double
Johnson totaled 30 points (10-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 12 rebounds, 12 assists and two steals across 39 minutes during Saturday's 131-116 victory over the Wizards.
Johnson was at it again, recording his second straight triple-double and fourth of the season. He now surpasses Doc Rivers for the most triple-doubles in a single season in franchise history, a record that has stood since the 1987-88 season. Johnson continues to be the engine that powers the Hawks, averaging 23.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.6 three-pointers through his first 22 regular-season games, which is good enough for top-10 value in standard fantasy leagues.

Hawks' Jacob Toppin: Won't play Saturday
Toppin (shoulder) is out for Saturday's game versus the Wizards, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Saturday will be the sixth straight game on the inactive list for Toppin, and the Hawks haven't released any updates about his recovery, so he should be viewed as week-to-week moving forward. The two-way player is not a consistent part of the Hawks' rotation, so he can safely remain on the waiver wire in all redraft leagues.

Hawks' N'Faly Dante: Out again Saturday
Dante (concussion) will remain on the inactive list for Saturday's game versus Washington, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Dante is currently going through the league's concussion protocol, and he will not be cleared to return until he passes a series of tests. He's a negligible part of the Hawks' rotation, though, so his absence from the active roster won't impact fantasy leagues.

Hawks' Trae Young: Remains out indefinitely
Young (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Wizards and remains out indefinitely, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports.
Young hasn't played since Oct. 29 while he rehabs from a sprained left MCL. The Hawks announced at the end of November that the star point guard would be re-evaluated sometime in mid-December, but until more information is available, Young can be considered doubtful for Atlanta's NBA Cup consolation schedule.
