After a disappointing start, Liverpool triumphed 5–1 over Eintracht Frankfurt, with Arne Slot's team avoiding a fifth consecutive defeat in all competitions. Bayern Munich delivered a 4–0 victory against Club Brugge in Germany, reaffirming their status as one of Europe's top sides this season. Real Madrid edged past Juventus 1–0, thanks to a second-half goal from Jude Bellingham, and Chelsea won 5–0 against Ajax at Stamford Bridge.

18' Few moments after Ajax midfielder Kenneth Taylor received a red card, Chelsea scored the opening goal at Stamford Bridge with Marc Guiu. Fofana challenges for the ball on a cross into the box and heads it across the face of goal, where Guiu makes it past the goalkeeper.
