Things went from bad to worse for the Phoenix Coyotes on Tuesday night when Shane Doan was ejected late in the second period for boarding Trevor Lewis.

Here's a look at the play that resulted in a five-minute major penalty as well as a game misconduct...

Along with Doan's penalty, Daymond Langkow was also sent off for slashing Dustin Brown just before that hit.

The Coyotes were already trailing 2-0 at that point, and Jeff Carterquickly scored on the power play to give the Kings a 3-0 lead.

Doan's hit will no doubt get turned over to Brendan Shanahan and his team to review for any supplemental discipline.
